Venues

TAFF has compiled a series of venue guides, written by TAFF members, to act as a reference guide for each of the theatres students use in Oxford.

There are five venues in Oxford which the average techie is most likely to find themselves working. They are:-

The Burton Theatre Theatre - 50 seat studio theatre to the playhouse, puts on an average of about 12 student shows a term, and hosts the annual Cuppers drama festival for freshers.

The Moser Theatre, Wadham - 114 seat theatre buried in the bowels of Wadham college, basic theatre and a badminton court by day but often the starting point for many a techie!

The O’Reilly Theatre, Keble - The newest theatre, opened in Michaelmas 2002, used for a combination of conferences and also about three shows a term.

The Old Fire Station Theatre - Smaller studio theatre on George street seating 170, puts on 7-8 student shows a term.

The Oxford Playhouse - 650 seat receiving house which also puts on five student productions a year, by far the biggest “student” venue in Oxford.
